It’s officially June, so for me, it’s officially summer! I wrapped up another very awesome year of teaching high school English, and now begins the long, two-month break… Of course, I’m staying busy! New events, new interviews, and a new book coming very soon…

Summer Events

The Band really celebrated a very cool milestone: Over 1,000 copies sold! And I just got news: My book is offically at Carmichael’s Bookstore in Louisville! You can get a signed copy at the store or order through them online. Here’s the website. Support local bookstores!

Next, I will be on the radio this Wednesday (June 4) at 9 AM to talk about The Band and give a few updates on The Empty Room, coming in October. I love working with WORX 96.7 and I encourage you to tune in! (I’ll also post the audio on my website the next day, so if you miss it, no worries.)

I will also have a table set up to sell books at a few spots this summer. First, my “home base” is the New Albany Farmer’s Market on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. Then, I’ll be at Jammin’ in Jeff with some live music (not me singing, don’t worry) on June 27, July 4, and July 11. Check out more info here. And lastly, the Jeffersonville Market is hosting me on June 28! Yes, that’s a lot of dates. I made a helpful flier above for you to keep and share.

The Empty Room: Book 3

Here’s where it gets fun. Like I said, I’ll be on the radio this Wednesday and I’ve been posting updates about The Empty Room for the last month, dropping hints, all that. But I want to do something special to kick off this month.

I want to give you a look inside the book.

So tomorrow, right before the radio show, I’m going to post the first 2 pages of The Empty Room right here on my blog. It won’t be up for long, maybe just a couple hours. But it’s your chance to see what’s coming…

But how can you help me? Tell your friends about the trilogy! The Misery House and The Silent Forest were both bestsellers. I want to spread the word that Book 3 is coming soon, and it’s going to blow you away.
