Coming in 2025

The end was closer than we thought.
All of us, in grave danger.
More secrets with every turn.
Not everyone can make it out alive.
A cover band in Appalachia. A valley covered in fog.
After a couple months touring with a cover band, I knew the end was coming. It wasn’t hard to see. We stayed with strangers and played shows in strange places. Every so often, we found ourselves in a bad spot, but nothing compared to Oakville.
Although none of us wanted to admit it, things were already falling apart when we arrived. And in Appalachia, everything unraveled quickly. Kate and I fell in love while the world around us fell apart.
Even still, nobody saw it coming. We were in grave danger. Not everyone could make it out alive.
The end was closer than we thought.
At first, it was little things — an unsettling house with a cold, dark basement. Creaking noises in the night. A loud scream. A rude townie. And then, people started to go missing. Oakville turned overnight into a dark and desolate tomb. As the questions piled on, it became more and more clear: Something was off with Johnny.
When we decided to stay in Oakville for a week, it seemed like the perfect place to rest and recharge. But then came the threats. The dire warnings. Sam, a local, watched us with a close eye. More people went missing, even as our adoring crowds grew.
No matter what, we couldn’t control Johnny. And we could never predict what he’d do next.
Besides the secrets in the basement walls…
Apart from the danger creeping closer every night…
I never thought in Oakville we’d run into a psychopath.
And I never dreamed we’d bring one of our own.

“When I was running steady with the band, it felt like a matter of time ‘til something went bad. At some point, we would cross a line. One day, we’d go too far. I thought it would be bad, horrible, and we’d all be in danger. But it was so much worse and pretty plain to see: Not everybody would make it out alive.”
